Your home in the bush

built for one group only, always

Before you arrive Our camp team have traveled ahead, scouted the location, read the landscape, and positioned everything where it needs to be: facing the right direction, set back from the waterhole, sheltered from the wind. By the time you arrive, the team is ready and the space is yours. What you walk into feels less like somewhere you've just reached and more like somewhere you already belong.

SLEEPING

Four spacious ensuite tents, each with a proper double or twin configuration, generous beds dressed in quality linen with enough room to move around comfortably. Canvas walls roll back to open the tent fully to the bush.

Every morning begins with fresh coffee or tea brought to your tent before you've had to ask. Every evening ends with a turned-down bed, a hot water bottle, and a small gift waiting for you. Binoculars and curated field guides sit ready on the desk. Toiletries are by Umu Ora, chosen for the quality they bring to a bush setting. Laundry is collected and returned. We try to think of everything, so that you don't have to.

LOUNGING

The lounge A properly furnished sitting room, open on all sides to the landscape, with a well-stocked bar, and a library of field guides and wildlife reference books.

Sundowners and artisanal cocktails and mocktails are served with snacks as the light drops. After dark, we set up films under the stars, or there are games, jigsaws, and painting materials if the mood calls for it. Archery is set up on request. Cold drinks appear before you've asked for them, the bar travels with the camp, and it is fully replenished at each location.

DINING

Two private chefs travel with every Okozi safari. Before departure, they want to know what you love and what you'd rather avoid. Breakfasts are unhurried, served in camp or taken out into the bush entirely. Lunch is relaxed and family style, often eaten in the field with a view worth stopping for. In the evenings, dinner is silver service: three courses, properly laid, open to the bush on all sides. The table is yours alone.

The food draws on European, Greek and Tanzanian traditions, reflecting the heritage of the people behind Okozi. On the last night, we set that aside and share a traditional Tanzanian meal of nyama choma around the fire. It has become one of the things guests talk about most when they get home.

THE TEAM

A full private team travels with you throughout: Camp Manager, two guides, two chefs, waiting staff, tent attendants, drivers, and a night watchman. They learn your routines quickly, and by the second location everything already feels familiar. The same faces, the same standards, wherever you are in Tanzania. Everything is fully inclusive, there is nothing to think about beyond the safari itself.

MOVING

When it is time to move, the team travels ahead and rebuilds at the next location. You arrive to find everything exactly as it was, just somewhere entirely new. The rhythm of the journey stays unbroken, and the sense of home travels with you.
