travel well, tread lightly
our ethos is built on expedition, care in design, and respect for the wild
We believe that safari should remain wild, intimate, and deeply respectful of the landscapes that shape it. Guided by those who know the landscape best, we move with the seasons, setting camp wherever the wildlife leads.

Our camps are temporary, our footprint small and our approach shaped by a reverence for the places we move through.

space to breathe, freedom to roam
how we travel
Safari with Okozi follows the movement of wildlife and the rhythm of the land rather than a fixed route or timetable. Camps are positioned with care for terrain, weather, and the surrounding environment, and remain in place only for as long as needed. Our safaris are led by guides with many years of experience in these landscapes, whose decisions are informed by a deep respect for wildlife and the bush.
how we build
Our camps are developed from our base in Arusha, working closely with Tanzanian artisans, suppliers and makers. Furnishings, textiles and everyday camp details are produced through long-standing local collaborations, using skills and materials suited to life on the move. Everything is designed to travel well, to be maintained and repaired in the field, and to remain in use over time.
how we take responsibility
At Okozi, responsibility is shaped through long-term relationships with people and place built over time. We lead with restraint and respect, guided by an understanding of animal behavior that prioritizes calm, distance and patience. We intentionally operate at a boutique scale, work solely with Tanzanian suppliers and source locally and intentionally.
