An Okozi journey is designed around movement and freedom. Camps travel with you, days are shaped by wildlife and light, and routes are adjusted as conditions change. There is no fixed circuit and no standard itinerary.
Each journey is created for one party only, allowing for flexibility, privacy, and a natural rhythm that responds to where you are rather than where you are meant to be next.
Seasonality
Journeys are planned around seasonal wildlife movement, rainfall patterns, and landscape conditions, rather than fixed dates. This allows us to be in the right place at the right time, whether that means following the migration or seeking quieter, less visited areas.
Pace
Some journeys are active and expansive, others slower and more settled. Time in camp is as much a part of the experience as time on safari, and days are structured with space to your own individual pace.
Privacy
Camps are exclusive to one party, with private vehicles and guides throughout. This allows journeys to unfold without compromise or interruption.
Our trips move across Tanzania, from the northern plains through to the south and west, shaped by season, wildlife movement, and the character of each landscape. Routes are designed to follow what is happening on the ground, and respond to anomalies in weather, or wildlife conditions.
Some journeys spend time in the Serengeti and the Southern Plains, others extend further into places such as Ruaha, Nyerere, Katavi or Mahale. Often, they combine well-known areas with regions that see far fewer vehicles, linking them through mobile camps that travel with you.
Because camps move as the journey unfolds, days flow naturally from one place to the next. Time can be taken where it feels right, movement can be easy when it makes sense, and the safari remains continuous, flexible, and shaped in real time.
Every safari is designed individually, with careful attention to timing, routing, and how different areas work together across a season. The details are shaped through conversation, experience on the ground, and a clear understanding of how to move well through these landscapes.
