This website is owned and operated by Okozi Ltd, trading as Okozi, a company registered in Tanzania (registration number 172385729), with its registered office at Namvua Plaza, Arusha, Tanzania. Many of the people who contact us are based in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where that is the case, we handle your personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and this policy is written to give you those protections.

What we collect

We take no payments through this website. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to send us through our enquiry form, which may include:

Your name and email address
Your WhatsApp number, if you choose to provide it
The country you are based in
Details about your enquiry, such as who is travelling, your rough dates and budget, and your interests
How you heard about us

You do not have to fill in any field other than your name and email. If you contact us directly by email or WhatsApp instead, we will hold whatever information you send us in that message.

How we use it

We use this information for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry and to plan and discuss a possible trip with you. Our lawful basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in replying to people who get in touch, together with taking steps at your request before entering into any agreement. We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it or share it for marketing.

Who processes it

A small number of trusted service providers help us run this site and receive your enquiry. They act on our behalf and only handle your data to provide their service:

By sending us an enquiry, you understand that your information will be handled in this way.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we are in contact with you about a trip, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. If you would like us to delete your information, email us and we will do so, unless we are required to keep it by law.

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to or restrict how we use it.
